When thinking about all of the different assignments of LIS 201, it is interesting to see how I was portrayed through them all. With the online blog posts, one cannot get a good sense of who I am and my personality since they were mostly informational posts about a searched topic. The only blog post that was truly about me was the introduction blog post. Typing things onto a computer and having someone read it is very different than speaking out loud and having someone listen to your voice.
I think that the only true representation of myself in this class was in discussion, where we were able to speak and interact face-to-face. It is difficult to get across information about yourself when you are trying to accomplish the assignment given. With the papers, I was only focused on covering the topic of the task, rather than giving the reader personal insight about myself. But when talking in class, it is much easier to get a feel for other's opinions and thoughts about certain topics. I think I represented myself in a positive manner on the blog posts and writing assignments, though it did not give a great representation of who I am as a person, as the pieces could have belonged to anyone in the class - they were not unique to me.
