Who Am I...on the web?

Geodemographic Marketing Analysis:
Someone searching for me with these initial sites would easily find out that I live in Madison and that I also have U.S. Cellular for a cell phone provider! Additionally, one could find out that Madison is a highly educated area, 95.4% high school graduate or higher came out when I entered my zipcode.  Apparently the building / land I live in / on is worth quite a lot.  This does make sense as it is right next to State St. I couldn't find a whole lot from the NY Times Mapping America project because my hometown is so small so it wasn't really telling of much!

Social Networking Analysis:
I was the 6th Twitter profile to come about when searching for my name - my profile is on public so I was not surprised that I could find it so easily nor that everything can be seen.  Additionally, my profile pops up in the image search right away. I couldn't locate myself at all searching via Facebook (wooh!). Again, nothing found for Instagram either. I came up about halfway down the page on a LinkedIn Search. Kristin is a very Norwegian name and my last name is Norwegian too so there were a lot of searches turning up individuals from Norway.

Further Search...:
The following are the search terms I used and what I found on myself:
"Kristin Hagen Madison WI" & "Kristin Hagen UW Madison":  LinkedIn profile was the first link and my On Wisconsin Pinterest board was an easily found link as well
All my email addresses:  turned up nothing!
"Kristin Hagen Blooming Prairie":  This turned up a lot of high school sports information, information on my mom, my cousin's high school sports info, and my Great Grandma's obituary from a few years ago.  This last search was probably the most interesting because it revealed the most about me and there were also almost 2 entire Google pages that had information about me!

I wasn't readily surprised by much of what I found in this search.  I found what I was expecting to because I know I've made some things available and I didn't find other things (like my Facebook) because I've made it a point to have those things hidden.  The most telling information that anyone would find would probably be my Twitter.  I've contemplated making my profile private but then that doesn't allow my tweets to be part of "bigger" conversations on the World Wide Web.  However, I think these findings are pretty relevant to my existence - one can find that I live in Madison, go to the UW, and really haven't made too big of a "splash" anywhere that would get my name out there.  I guess I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!
