I also found a book about the impacts that the cloud system is going to have on the healthcare system throughout the US. Though I did not want to chose a book that was specific to an industry, I thought it would be extremely interesting to see the impacts the cloud system would have on the current healthcare system. This book was also a more academic text book, and cost over 100 dollars. This book, "Delivering Health Care in America", is also available in multiple libraries around the UW campus, and many other UW schools. It is in 715 libraries total. The subject lines of this book pertain more so to the healthcare sector, than the cloud information system area. Though this book covers the clouds impact on healthcare, it focuses more on the healthcare system than the cloud system. This book obviously has a more specific target audience, which is confirmed by its lack of popularity on library thing. It matched with books all throughout the healthcare business. It had very few matches to books specifically dealing with the cloud system.
I chose the book "Cloud Computing Made Easy" for my book. This book is a much less academic focused, allowing for the average reader to be able to find it useful. This book has just over 100 pages, making it under half of the length of the other books. It costs under 10 dollars, as it is a non-academic paperback. It also seems like a great resource for someone who does not currently know much about the cloud, but is looking to learn the basics. According to WorldCat, this book is only available in two libraries within 6000 miles. The subject lines of this book are much more specific to cloud computing systems and IT systems. Books like it cover the exact areas that I was looking for my book to focus on. This book is most definitely less "out there" than the other two as seen through a Google search. The other two books had many hits, while this book seems to fly under the radar. This book matched with books more focused on the cloud system, but the matches seemed very specific to certain industries or business plans.
There are no academic journals reviewing the "Cloud Computing Made Easy Book" in Proquest or Project Muse. I plan to continue looking for book reviews in other databases.
