Dan Conway: Introduction

The House After a Softball Tourny
Whats up guys! My name is Dan Conway and I am from Mendota Heights, a suburb of St. Paul.  I am a sophomore and plan on double majoring in Finance and Marketing. I was in Witte 7-B last year, and will always have a soft spot in my heart for Witte. I live on the 500 block of Mifflin now with 9 other guys.  I am not looking forward to the walks to class in the winter.  So far, it seems like the long walk is a small price to pay for living on Mifflin.

I do my best to get involved with clubs around campus.  I am in the Badger Business Professionals Club, Finance and Investment Society, and the Lawn Sports Club.

My athletic peak was about 3rd grade to 9th grade.  I played tennis in high school, but I was required to give up up all of the sports that I played when I was younger.  At this point in my life, intramural softball is about the farthest I test my athletic ability.  I am not an extraordinarily talented person, but I am a phenomenal whistler and hold the world record for Edward 40 Hands (19 minutes 25 seconds).

I am a pretty avid Minnesota Wild and Twins fan.  It is pretty hard to root for the Vikings, but as a loyal Minnesotan I do my best. On the other hand, I can't wait for the hockey season to start.  The Wild are just about the only Minnesota sports team make it easy to be a fan.  I was raised a Minnesota Gophers fan, but it did not take me long to become a die hard Badger fan.

As a business major, I figure that I will be required to be clean cut and wear normal clothing my entire life, so I decided to start this year off with a wild card and get a mullet.

I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you guys and learning about the information society!
